  • Worked for Enterprise at the time as a car prep. 97-98. Best part was getting to test drive the vehicles. Whether it was recalls to the dealership or taking them to the carwash it was so much fun. Not a Ford guy but for the 90s every US manufacturer had problems. My favorites to drive where the 98 DeVille, Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Camaro and the Buick Riviera. I wasn't fond of the Ford Taurus nor the Expedition. The Dodge Neon was absolutely crap. Good times.

  • It's seeing actions like this, that make me want to follow Hoovie's Garage even more. In most of his videos, he self-deprecates as the "dumbest channel in all of LTworlds", but he clearly hasn't viewed many obscure YT channels. I love his wit, and honesty about bad choices and exceptional luck, and how having an honest automotive genius like "Wizard" at his beck and call, is what keeps his channel alive. Tyler, I salute you good sir!

  • Anybody Else think they should have cleaned it up, detailed it repaired the bumper, replaced and missing fog light and missing rim, then surprised him with it... imo they gave him a “better” car than what be has but its still a 20 yr old suv with 200k miles. cracked bumper, missing fog light and missing rim... i wish they would have presented him the car all fixed up and clean

  • I have the non luxury version of this vehicle, aka a 1998 Ford Expedition XLT w/ the 5.4L “Triton” motor, that I use as work truck and the check engine light has been on for half a year now because of that common sputtering/surging issue that started 6 months ago.... but that bad boy is still going strong 💪 I’m just waiting for it to completely break down before calling cash for clunkers or something similar that take non running vehicles for cash I’m going to miss that truck when that happens though, biggest baddest SUV I’ve ever owned 💪💯 Anyways great video and greater act of kindness Hoovie! 👍 👏

  • The thing about fords with issues still driving as if theres nothing wrong is true. Can only say that about camrys/corolas and some hondas. My 99 ford contours timing belt is off by a tooth, stalls randomly and knocks alittle but goes down road like nothings wrong. Been driving like this for thousands of miles. Its frame is rusted to shit and yet it doesnt care. It starts up faster than anycar ive head previously. Less impressive is my 2002 ford escort, it currently has no brakes, the engine is loud, the a/c stalls the car out, it overheats when sitting at intersections, but i driven it everywhere. So yeah are fords reliable, No ut do they get me to where i need to go Yes, 10 fold. Couldnt say the same thing about my old chevy malibu

  • Increasingly curious as to the earliest cars that had ventilated seats available other than this & at least one or 2 of the pre-recession northstar caddies. There's very likely the 3rd gen Lexus LS, the first couple years of the Buick Lucerne... possibly the absolute only 3800 car to get that option... what else is there?
