  • Oh my a car with balls !!!

  • What always amazes me about these vids id the guys that buy these cars haven`t a clue about doing the work themselves. Given that the car will be a high days and holidays car and you won`t be relying on it for daily transport, get some tools, look on the net for info and have a go yourself. Yoy won`t be interested in a service history if you got it at a low price so stop fannying about, man up and you`ll not get the arse ripped out of you by a mechanic

    morbeus Morbeusmorbeus MorbeusPrieš mėn
    • What are you talking about that’s the point of this video he’s not a mechanic he doesn’t work on cars and the mechanic is giving fair prices he has to make a living too. If you have to worry about money for repairs then you shouldn’t on these type of cars new or used

  • I've been going through a binge watch of doug de muro and your vids and some other enthusiast vids, it seems to be a running theme - the more expensive the car is to buy, the less well put together it is. To the point where the cars spend more time getting repaired than actually on the road. I mean your spending 6 figures on a car I'd expect it to last years with minimal attention. But some of these stupidly expensive cars straight up catch fire if you rev them up too much, have bits falling off them, leak, cost thousands in constant repairs. It just seems like a fools game even bothering with the top end of the market. Your basically pissing money for years into the bank accounts of people building unreliable cars that look nice but are just junk-in-waiting.

Many problems originate from a) the cars not being used, b) the cars being driven only short distances, c) not being serviced correctly. Drive it 1000 miles In one day and it’ll love you.

  • Regarding those suspension spheres, there's kit where you replace the seal bolts with valves. It comes with an adapter for a gas bottle. Hint; your local publican can supply you with gas! Then you can re-pressurise them, get them all equal pressure and your ride is greatly improved. I used to get them dirt cheap at a breakers yard and fix them up.

  • The guys over on "Car Throttle" in the UK picked up a Bentley of similar vintage for £5000 (not far off the Wizard's repair bill) and Wheeler Dealers bought a 1983 Mulsanne Turbo for £3250 which was cosmetically challenged (peeling lacquer and tired leather upholstery) but had no rust, no leaks and was mechanically 100%. Both cars had a current MoT (UK annual roadworthiness test similar to state inspections) so they could be driven on the public roads. The only thing that's seriously wrong with Tyler's Bentley is that the steering wheel is on the wrong side!

  • Yes ..these cars look great ..their weaknesses are they are old and parts are proportionally expensive, Be prepared to spend $4000 to $10000 per year on maintenance not counting fuel..Providing the engine remains solid.otherwise an engine rebuild is normally around $ $30 000. Luxury costs.
